Mark Sissons was distraught to discover two of his cats who had been beheaded. The two cats, Smudge and Tigger were found decapitated in Sherwood. The attacks have been linked by police to an earlier incident where a cat was found on Mansfield road with a screwdriver sticking out of its head. The thisis nottingham website states:
“Cat owners have been shocked by the attacks. Rob Nelson, 37, who works in Sherwood, has a 22-year-old called Sage.
He said: “I think what’s happened is horrible and really disgusting. They become like members of the family and (don’t) deserve to be treated like that.””
For those who don’t know Nottingham, Sherwood is a nice area with lower crime rates than many other areas of the City.
This reminds me of an incident on Whitemoor Estate a number of years ago when local yobs decapitated a cat belonging to a resident who had been complaining about their behaviour; and left it by her wheelie bin. Unsurprisingly she was very shocked and upset when she discovered her cat.
