Crime or reputation?

I hate with a passion Nottingham City Council’s tendency to concentrate on rubbishing crime statistics rather than actually tackling crime.  The blogger below shares my views.

“It seems sad that the council’s preoccupation is with the city’s reputation rather than with the city’s residents. I agree reputation is important and it’s true that Nottingham has more to offer than crime, but all of that is nothing compared to the safety and happiness of people.

My teenage son has had his phone stolen, been slapped and had glass bottles thrown at him – all within just a few yards of home. And I’m sure everyone living in certain areas of the city has a similar story to tell. Unfortunately, the powers that be don’t seem to have an effective response.”

Im sorry about stolen the phone of your son, yea we live in the city were alot of crime happening around us just like when they murdered my dad in the street, he went out the house just to buy bread but unfortunately he was killed on that day. Yet, no action from the police.

I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. It is truly awful that an innocent person can be murdered and that there seems to be no action from the police. My thoughts are with you.
