Poor delivery from House of Fraser

One reader left a comment about their bad experience with House of Fraser.

“two of my friends asked about having a huge and very heavy 5 foot by 4 foot £300 mirror delivered just 2 miles to their home in Nottingham and were told yesterday that the delivery was “at their own risk” because (bless em) poor House of Fraser in Nottingham had had some bad experiences with their own couriers breaking mirrors recently.

Hence – because they are so crap themsleves at organising things properly – you have to pay the shop £300 and if the shop then break the mirror in transit – IT’S|YOUR FAULT! How insanely crap is that?”

There’s a follow up to the deleted post on My-T at This page. It’s a pity My-T doesn’t provide RSS feeds otherwise Google would have a cached copy of it lurking around!

Only a few days ago I heard on BBC news that these chains of stores that are going under will be asking the Government to use more borrowed money that tax payers will be paying back for the next 20 years in increased taxes to bail them out in the same way the banks got bailed out. Meanwhile – immoral and degenerate or not – all this government is able to suggest to boost the failing economy is that we spend moe money in these stores. Therefore when they are acting as crappily as Nottingham;s House of fraser and driving customers away the story needs telling.

The House of Fraser in Nottingham is crap and it employs kidult crap staff.

By the way I heard yesterday that Debenhams in Nottingham could not afford to pay its staff last month — because its going under. I heard none of the staff were paid at the end of November. Have you heard anythything about that? Perhaps that’s why House of Fraser is acting so crappily …perhaps they are in the same boat?

I haven’t heard anything about Debenham not being able to pay their staff, but I will ask around and see if I can find out if this is true. Thanks Nick B for the link.
