Tim Render to join Board of NDC

“A FORMER finance director who received a £200,000 redundancy package from the city council is set to join the board of a troubled regeneration group.

Tim Render, who rejoined the council as a consultant after leaving in October, will lend his expertise to the Neighbourhood Development Company.

Mr Render has previously worked on an investigation into how the group is governed after infighting led to its funding being frozen by Government…

Meanwhile, 20 of the group’s staff are being made redundant. Twelve have taken voluntary redundancy and eight are being given compulsory redundancy.

It leaves just eight staff plus interim chief executive Joan Toovey to deliver the final phase of a ten-year programme, awarded £55m by the Government in 2001 to spend in Radford and Hyson Green.”
