Poor review for Mandarin

Below is a very poor review for the Mandarin restaurant. To be fair there are also two good reviews of this restaurant on the same website.

“Our meal started well. The crispy aromatic duck was good. Main courses were utterly disappointing. The aubergines with minced pork was swimming in oil and had no distinctive flavour.

The ma po taufu tasted like the aubergines we just had. Killed my appetite.

Thank goodness for the reasonably better soft shell crab with garlic and chilli – it made the meal slightly bearable.

With just Chinese tea and a glass of Coke, the bill came to over £40 – way above a Chinese meal of higher standards in London. Don’t waste time here. Visit this place only if you crave overpriced takeaway-standard Chinese food.”
