I personally hate the use of the word ‘chav’. I think it is a ‘snobbish’ term to use for people who are really poor. But the website Chav Towns features Nottingham

Wrong. Chav has nothing to do with money. My grandparents worked hard all their lives and had but a fraction of what the chavs have. It’s an attitude, it’s the opposite of culture and self-improvement. It’s reveling in being the lowest common denominator. People starving in parts of Africa, folks in war torn countries – they don’t have the money to become chavs, let alone adequate sanitation or sewerage. Chav is a mark of an affluence country with a degraded society, of a group that can afford to opt out of the values which form a civilization. Chavs are scum.
The next time I read a blog, I hope that it does not disappoint me just as much as this particular one.
After all, I know it was my choice to read through, however I genuinely thought you’d have something useful to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of crying about something you could fix if you were not too busy looking for attention.
